
🚁 Drone Experience Program (Ages 14+)
The Drone Experience Program is a unique, hands-on course that introduces students to the world of drone flight, aerial photography, and video production. Over 9 immersive hours, students will learn how to safely operate drones, capture cinematic footage, and create a professional edit of their work—all while learning about aviation and real-world drone applications.
This program combines indoor classroom learning, real-world outdoor flight experience, and creative post-production in a single, exciting journey.
What is the Drone Experience?
Students will explore the full lifecycle of a drone mission:
- Classroom Theory – Learn flight safety, local drone laws (CASA rules), and drone components
- Flight Practice – Hands-on piloting with mini drones and outdoor GPS drones (weather permitting)
- Aerial Filming – Capture wide shots, flyovers, and cinematic angles
- Video Editing – Learn the basics of trimming, transitions, and sound design using beginner-friendly tools
By the end of the course, students will complete and showcase their very own aerial short film.
What Students Will Learn
- Basic drone flight controls and safety checks
- CASA regulations for recreational drone flying in Australia
- Team-based flying drills and obstacle practice
- Aerial video techniques: panning, orbiting, and tracking shots
- Intro to video editing: cutting, sequencing, music & titles
- Real-world skills in planning, media production, and tech handling
